Conservation Status: Not of concern

Description:
Identification Notes:

Coprinopsis friesii is a small grass-dwelling species with a gray to grayish purple cap with white veil scales and gills that liquefy only slightly, if at all. It is distinguished from similar species by its relatively large, lentil-shaped spores, 7--11 x 6--7 x 7--9 µm. Small species such as C. friesii are rarely noticed, much less collected. Thus, we know little about its distribution.
